Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars: “…Just like his 2015 debut Wanted on Voyage, George Ezra puts together a consistent, impressive, and overall superb effort. The vocals are on-point, the songwriting is often fun, but sometimes more thoughtful (such as ‘Only a Human’), and the arrangements and productions are top-notch. Winning project through and through.”

Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars: So much of the analysis focuses on the lyricism of “Saviour” – it’s undeniably impressive. But so are those signature, robust vocals by George Ezra, as well as superb backing vocals by First Aid Kit. The minor-key production is also a huge selling-point, featuring a rhythmic, folk-/roots-rock-esque sound. A Mouthful for sure. All in all, Ezra delivers another gem with “Saviour,” giving Staying at Tamara’s another winner.
“Hold My Girl”
Headline:Always consistent, singer-songwriter George Ezra returns with “Hold My Girl,” the fourth single released in advance of sophomore album, Staying at Tamara’s.
Verdict: 3 ½ out of 5 stars: All in all, George Ezra delivers another consistent and enjoyable song with “Hold My Girl.” This isn’t the most thrilling song released in advance of Staying at Tamara’s, but it’s another winner. As always, Ezra sounds terrific.
“Pretty Shining People”
Headline:Always consistent, singer-songwriter George Ezra returns with another thrilling single, “Pretty Shining People,” released in advance of sophomore album, Staying at Tamara’s.
Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars: Consistent, consistent, consistent. George Ezra is incredibly consistent and incredibly talented. “Pretty Shining People” is just another example of his artistry and musicianship. It’s well-produced, well-written, and well-performed.
Headline:George Ezra shows off tremendous energy, enthusiasm, and personality on “Paradise,” the second single from his sophomore album, Staying at Tamara’s.
Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars: After hearing “Paradise,” listeners will have “nothing but love” for George Ezra. Clearly, Ezra is ‘feeling the feels’ of love, and it’s nothing short of celestial. Great vocals, tongue-n-cheek songwriting, and an enthusiastic vibe makes “Paradise” terrific. Staying at Tamara’s should be pretty sweet. Ezra probably thinks so.
“Don’t Matter Now”
Headline:British singer/songwriter George Ezra returns in top-notch form with “Don’t Matter Now,” the promo single for his forthcoming, sophomore album.
Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars: All in all, George Ezra returns with a bang. For his devoted fans stateside, it does matter that he’s returning, no matter what he says. Quite fun, “Don’t Matter Now” is well-performed, and well-produced.
